Grant a Wish… and Then Some
Reghann L. - Nevada
Inspired by The Benjamin Project, Reghann started her own non-profit organization, "Grant A Bridger Christmas Wish." Her initiative aims to help underprivileged students by fulfilling their Christmas wishes and recognizing dedicated staff members who go above and beyond to assist students in need.
The journey was challenging but incredibly rewarding. Reghann's efforts included designing a logo, securing sponsors, and executing the project. This year, her organization helped three selected underprivileged kids and honored a deserving staff member. The joy and disbelief on the recipients' faces made all the hard work worthwhile, and Reghann plans to continue this initiative even as she transitions to high school.
Reghann’s Reflection:
“The Benjamin Project inspired me to start a small non-profit organization, “Grant A Bridger Christmas Wish.” I hope it will continue to help underprivileged students for years ahead. It was a significant accomplishment for me, from designing my logo to getting sponsors. It was not easy, but it’s worth knowing that good people are also willing to help make a difference. This year, it helped three selected underprivileged kids and rewarded a staff member who goes beyond assisting students in need. I cannot explain how this experience made me feel when I saw the recipients in disbelief; the feeling is priceless. Next year, I will be in high school, but I will be back to do it again! Thank you for this opportunity.“
The Benjamin Project exemplifies the incredible potential of young people to effect positive change. By providing seed money and a platform to support their chosen causes, we help nurture the philanthropic spirit in students. This story is just one example of how young minds can create significant impacts when given the opportunity.
Join us in celebrating the achievements of these young philanthropists and supporting future initiatives that empower youth to make a difference.
