I'll See Your Bag of Feed & Raise You One
Ruby B. - Montana
Ruby channeled her love for horses into her project, supporting Angel Horses, an organization that helps individuals enjoy the therapeutic benefits of horses. With her mom's assistance, Ruby took her $100 to a local feed store and purchased three bags of feed needed by Angel Horses. She also convinced the donation manager at Western Ranch Supply to match her purchase, resulting in six bags of feed for the organization.
Ruby’s donation was met with enthusiasm and gratitude from Angel Horses, and she was thrilled to see its impact. Her experience highlights the importance of giving back and the joy of supporting a cause close to one’s heart.
Ruby’s Reflection:
“I took the money to a cause that I loved. I own horses, and I want others who own horses to enjoy them like I do. I found an organization called Angel Horses. With my mom's help, I decided to go to our local feed store and buy three bags of feed that were the type the organization needed. I asked the donation manager at our local Western Ranch Supply if they would be willing to match me when I bought the bags of feed. I gave them the full 100 dollars, and they donated three bags. Angel Horses were thrilled when I reached out to them to tell them about the project. I gave them six bags of feed and looked around their facility. I loved it and was glad I donated to that cause. Hopefully, GDG will keep having this opportunity for young kids like me to donate towards the community.”
