The Benjamin Project
Nia - Nevada
My mom took me to the family dollar store. We got packs of socks and underwear for people. We want to go back and get food gift cards for people at Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth. I wanted to help people on the streets. I enjoyed working on my project with my mom and shopping.
The Benjamin Project
Paul - Wisconsin
I spent the gift card on getting supplies for our project of painting people's pets on portraits. It was a great experience that also got to the news and everybody loved what we did. We took all the funds we made from selling portraits and donating it to the Oshkosh Human Society and they really appreciated it. We appreciate your donation of the project funds very much, thank you.

The Benjamin Project
Kaleb - Montana
I used my $100 dollars to donate to the local Boys and Girls Club of Carbon County. I decided to take the money I had been gifted with for their tween time, because I had once gone to tween time when I was younger. It is a science club for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders so I decided to do two science projects with my money. First, I went to the Club to make sure they wanted it. I got started by looking through the Highlights Book of HOW to find my project. The two projects I found most interesting, easy, and affordable were building a model diaphragm and Rocket launcher. I had to get balloons, cups, straws, fishing line, tape, etc. I got all of my supplies for about $85. I ordered all my supplies off Amazon because it was the cheapest place I could get everything. Once my supplies arrived, I built one model to send with them. Then I printed off copies of the instructions. Lastly, I took it to the boy's and girl's club. They enjoyed my donation a lot and about two weeks later they did it as their weekly project. I felt good that I had just donated two projects for the tween time to do.
