We are so proud to highlight the incredible impact our students are making in their communities this week! This roundup features an inspiring reflection from a Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia travel scholarship recipient, alongside Benjamin Project stories of a Minnesota student supporting the neurodiverse community through the Autism Society of Minnesota, a Montana student giving back to rescued animals at a local wildlife sanctuary, and a Nebraska student multiplying his impact to provide essential meals to the Heartland Hope Mission.
Cooper - Montana
My experience through this project has been very exciting and refreshing. Doing this project felt like I was giving back to the community that I frequent once a year. It felt like I was assisting mine and others' experience at the Wildlife Sanctuary. It also felt great to give back to the animals that are now safe and sound because of the crew at the Sanctuary. My personal favorite animal is Bobby the Great Horned Owl. It makes me very grateful that I got chosen to help his wildlife journey.
Sienna - Minnesota
My experience has been wonderful. I loved being able to plan my donation. I donated to The Autism Society of Minnesota because I've always felt a part of the disabled community. My best friend has CP, and my cousin was diagnosed with autism at 2 years old. It is such an amazing community with a variety of people.
Samuel - Nebraska
With the money generously provided to us by the Benjamin Project, we decided to support Heartland Hope Mission (HHM). On the HHM website, they requested items like rice and boxed meals so we used the provided resources to supply them with these items. We also supplied $200 of our own money to make a greater impact. Overall, I found the experience to be extremely wholesome and an experience that I won't forget.

Thank you so much for the scholarship for my trip to DC and Philadelphia. Going to D.C. and Philly was an amazing experience for me. To get to see everything our country was made from and the things I've learned about in school was a really enlightening experience. The honor, courage, sacrifice and integrity of the people who have built our country was inspiring to see.
The place I liked the most was the Holocaust Museum. It was an interesting and meaningful place to be and see what many people have had to endure. Being there in person made it all seem so much more real. It was a privilege to be there.
Thank you so much for the scholarship, it really made my trip a lot easier on my family. I will remember this trip and the amazing experience forever.
