From transforming a hospital room for a sick baby girl to spreading kindness across her school, see the inspiring ways our students are taking action this week! This week's Benjamin Project features a Nevada student whose hospital room makeover brought comfort to a family in need, a Nebraska student placing handwritten quote boxes around her school to inspire daily positivity, and a Montana student who launched a World Series running challenge to fund youth baseball gear. Rounding out the week is a travel reflection from a California student thankful for an opportunity that broadened his view of the country.
Ella - Nevada
My Benjamin project was unforgettable. I bought decorations for a hospital room and supplies for a sick baby girl and her family. The reaction of the mom when she saw all that we had done for her and her baby was life changing. I would love to do it again.
Bailee - Nebraska
We bought four boxes, white spray paint, markers, and lots of card stock. What we did was, we got the boxes spray painted and colored and designed them and put our own spin on them. Then we made individual 3 x 5 cards that were handwritten with kindness quotes. Then we set them around the school and hope that people use them and get inspiration for more kindness.
Miles - Montana
With the $100 I bought two Scheels $50 gift cards. I made a running program over the course of the MLB world series. What you did was you would track your miles each day. It was a free program and you could donate if you wanted. The winner with the most miles won a gift card and everyone that signed up got put in a raffle to win the other gift card. It was a very successful experience and I raised a little over $300. That money went to a baseball organization so kids who didn't have the money or gear could play.

I want to thank you guys for giving me this opportunity to go on this trip because this was a trip I will never forget.
From this trip I've now been to almost all of the east coast and I've gotten to experience the great states there. The big and small cities, the different weather, and the culture. Experiencing this all got me thinking maybe I don't want to live in California all my life. Because of this trip I know more of the history and the great things the other states have that are different and new to me that the west doesn't have.
Thank you again for your generosity and giving me this opportunity to go on the trip. I have made so many memories thanks to you guys.
